Founded in 1999, National Shunt Service began with a commitment to streamline yard operations. From the beginning, our vision was simple, but bold – To create reliable, efficient, technology-driven solutions that put the customer’s yard management journey at the forefront. We were founded by the idea that yard management should be more than just trailer movements – It should be an integrated solution that adds efficiency and value to every step of the supply chain process. Over the years, we’ve grown from a small, passionate team, to an international, dedicated workforce that continues to push boundaries and set new industry standards.

Our journey of innovation saw a defining moment in 2008 with the launch of Shuntware, NSSL’s Yard Management Software (YMS), providing real-time insights, automated workflow and seamless communication between teams and tools. Shuntware remains a vital, customer-focused tool, allowing our clients to execute seamless, synchronized operations, leading to data-lead decisions, and increased operational efficiency.
